I just took a peek at this first issue and am so impressed by how everything flows so seamlessly. It’s truly an issue to be proud of! Congratulations Jess and Steph!
The wild hunt has always been a mirror for our hunger to cross thresholds we can’t control. To read these voices gathered is to walk that thin path between awe and peril, where the otherworld brushes against our skin.
Hello, I’m probably showing my age now, but I bought the magazine last week on my iPhone and looking for it this morning to read it , I have no idea where it is. Any idea where it has gone?
It looks brilliant by the way, and I love the model you’re trialling.
Oh that’s so kind! But actually, I’ve already bought it and this time I’ve labelled and filed it all ready to read :-) But I really appreciate your kind gesture.
I read one poem, one essay, and one flash fiction story from The Wild Hunt issue. I enjoyed them all. I'm excited to read all the works now. I'm delighted to have something worthwhile and elegant to read before bed, or with lunch. Yay 😊.
How fabulous it is to see a new method of issuing a periodical. Rather than succumbing to the attrition of circulation by traditional magazines, you have created a model which looks primed to be self sustaining.
In Owning The Pen, a series I created here on Substack (which is free) to help become platform independent while creating our own domain and self-publishing, we look at how using social platforms to connect to readers is an amazing tool, but not the endgame. You have reinforced this model in this endeavor while adding so much more value at the core! It’s do much more about community.
We all can learn something foundational while enjoying your fabulous content. Print is not dead. It is here for those who want it, along with other options just as invigorating, like this!
So far it has been pretty well received—though the information is so valuable I really wish more would take advantage of it. In doing my research for myself it has been just as easy to share it. We all win! This is not a competition.

Thank you so much, Caitlin! We're so honored to have your poem featured in our first edition.
Exciting to be a part of this inaugural edition and to read the rest of the contributions! Congrats!
Thank you, Christa!
Congratulations. It looks beautiful 😍
Thanks so much, Alyssa!

Hi Jane, thanks for reaching out! You can swipe down on your iPhone and type "the wild hunt" into the search bar. Let us know if that helps!
Ah ,sadly not. Never mind. Thanks anyway. I’ll buy it again and pay more attention to what I do with it this time!
Jane, if you'd like, message me your email and I'll send you a copy. :)

That's so kind of you to say, Marissa! We're so glad you enjoyed these pieces by our wonderful contributors.
This looks very interesting! Who is the original artist for the art used on the cover?
Thanks so much:) The original piece is Asgårdsreien (1872) by Peter Nicolai Arbo.
Honored to have been able to be a part of this 🖤
We're so glad you shared your piece with us!

Thanks so much for your kind and thoughtful words, LaMonica. Your series sounds like it is very much needed!
